Reliability
Built to keep copying when things go wrong.
You're trusting infrastructure with your live trades. Reliability isn't a feature here — it's the whole point. Here's exactly how Trepeat behaves when a connection drops, a broker slows down, or a close is missed.
What happens when something goes wrong
Most copiers go quiet on this. We'd rather you know the answer before you need it.
Your broker connection drops
The engine detects an unhealthy broker link on a continuous health check and reconnects automatically — your repeater keeps running. A sustained problem recycles the connection on its own, no action from you.
The broker or data provider degrades
We show it honestly. The affected account flips to a “Reconnecting” state instead of a green light that's lying — and we can post a service-wide notice the moment we're aware of a wider provider issue.
A position can't be closed in time
You're told — never silently. If a close is missed (e.g. an account was briefly disconnected), you get an alert in-app and by email. Trepeat will not auto-close later at a stale, drifted price — you decide, because a wrong-price close is worse than a clear heads-up.
A follower drifts out of sync
Automatic drift correction continuously reconciles each follower against the source, so a missed or partial fill doesn't quietly leave accounts out of step.
Always watching
We watch it around the clock
Problems are caught by monitoring, not by you noticing a trade didn't copy.
Liveness heartbeat
The engine emits a heartbeat every 60s; a missed beat pages the operator.
End-to-end logs
Structured logs across engine, broker gateway, and database — 24/7.
Alarms that page
CloudWatch alarms on latency, errors, and adapter health route straight to the operator.
Safety
Guarantees we can actually make
Not about your results — about how the engine behaves. These are mechanical, by design.
Only touches what it placed
The engine acts solely on positions it opened (magic-number filtered). Your own manual trades on the same account are never touched.
No duplicate orders
Every repeat is idempotent and de-duplicated, so a reconnect or retry can't fire the same order twice.
One writer, always
A single-writer lease means exactly one engine owns execution at a time — even through a deploy — so no account is ever double-copied.
Never holds your money
Trepeat never receives, holds, or can withdraw funds. The money and the broker relationship stay entirely yours.
Honest about the limits
- Uptime is a target, not a guarantee. We aim for 99.9% and run daily encrypted backups with point-in-time recovery — a target is a commitment to engineering, not a promise that nothing ever breaks.
- Brokers can be slow or go down. That's outside our control — so we surface it honestly and recover automatically when it clears, instead of pretending everything's fine.
- It's a tool, not a manager.Trepeat repeats your own trade decisions across your own accounts. It makes no trading decisions and promises no results.
